ABOUT THE BOOK
I wrote it by accident—and if I’m completely honest—I never really had a desire to write a book of poetry, but something higher than me somehow, divinely, helped this book come to be.
loving me is documentation of my deepest inward journey—a gathering of writings collected over the many years I felt at war with myself, desperate for another way of existing.
This book will take you on a journey through what I call “The Five Stages of Loving Me” from a place of insecurity and self abandonment to utter liberation. Doing the one thing I deem impossible: developing a kind and loving relationship with my entire self.

“Jordan Drea’s “loving me” is a relatable inner dialogue of the raw, but beautiful journey to radical self discovery, acceptance, and compassion that reminds each of us that our experiences are innately human. The journal entries boldly assert that what we’re willing to acknowledge, feel, and face expands our empathy, strength, and access. Through Jordan’s brave prose, we reflect on how ‘the five stages of love me’ plays a role in our lives, giving us permission to also love all the raw and human parts of us.
